What customers say?

“ Quite possibly the best salmon dish I've ever eaten! The staff were so lovely and accommodating for my partner's birthday as well. I would 100% recommend, absolutely wonderful experience! ”

“ Reviewing for food not a stay. Friendly staff and good food, nicely done out. Would make a great local. ”

- Rowland Conway -

“ Came here for dinner on a Wednesday night whilst staying nearby in Lazonby - recommended by our Airb&b host! Food and service were both smashing and staff were very welcoming of our spaniel also. Both of us got the burger but the rest of the menu at the time of our visit was also very tempting. Enjoyed some pool and darts after our meal and drinks! Would definitely recommend. ”

- Lily Miller -

“ We had a lovely meal in the Highland Drove. Although it is dog friendly, we were enjoying our first dog free night in months! We were booked in for 7pm but got there early for a drink. The tonic/soda selection is amazing! Plus they serve Hawkstone beer, which is always a plus. The staff were so lovely. They showed us to our table early, and the restaurant was quiet. We both had the same, black pudding waffle tower to start and smash burger for main. Both courses were served quickly and absolutely delicious! It can be a little frustrating not being able to see a menu ahead of time, but it’s great that this is because they mix things up so much, and source local ingredients, then base their menu on this. The restaurant did get louder after 7pm but maintained a really nice atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back. ”

“ When there for a meal. Good Mexican food with appropriate spiciness. Service was great. Staff worked like trojans. Will go back, when we visit the area again. ”

- James Freas -

“ The couple that own / run it are warm and welcoming, they offer an incredible selection of drinks, but you must eat there, the word divine doesn't do them justice! 5* all the way. ”
